EdAdvance Adult & Continuing Education is an Eligible Training Provider in CTHires. Contact the American Job Center at 860.496.3500 to see if you qualify for free or discounted training through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funding.
Certified Nurse Aide (Certified Nursing Assistant) Training — a 100-hour CNA program that consists of 52 hours of classroom time and 48 hours of clinical training. Completion qualifies participants for the state certification exam.
Food Safety Certification Program — Participants desiring to become a Certified Food Manager for schools, businesses, or restaurants will be eligible to take the online examination recognized by the National Restaurant Association.
Para-Professional Assessment — This assessment is available for individuals who do not have an Associate’s Degree or two years of college and are seeking employment as a para-professional in a school district. The assessment measures knowledge of, and the ability to assist in, the instruction of reading, writing, and mathematics.
